Light Me Up

I found the perfect addition for my new apartment. This awesome owl lamp paired with this beautiful green lamp shade. Gorgeous.

Update: Since I'm a HUGE dork and didn't realize until after that the "Chandelier Shade" meant that it was tiny, I'm changing my shade choice. I really wanted green and white, but I've fallen in love with this Cirrus Shade.

King of Pops

Remember when I got so excited about Pop Bar? I wanted a location in Atlanta so bad. Well, Atlanta's got it's own popsicle stand now. King of Pops.

Check out the stand over in Woodruff park.

Quaint Spanish Wedding

When I saw this beautiful spanish wedding on Once Wed, I just about squealed. Don't you just love her braid? So simple and girly. And those lights over the tables?! Oh my.

The fact that this wedding was in Spain just makes it that much more romantic.

Pretty Flowers

I am a huge fan of flowers. For a vase, for the hair, as an accessory. When I saw what Kathleen did for her dog's collar, I just about melted. Then when I saw she made it from a tutorial, I think I squealed.

Kathleen's sweet dog, Tula.

The tutorial is from Martha Stewart Weddings. They have 5 different tutorials to choose from, each containing several sizes. Can't wait to try these out!

When I studied abroad in France 5 years ago, I fell in love with anything and everything French. Well, anything European really. That 3 month trip left an imprint on my heart. I'm itching to go back soon, but until then, these beautiful Merci cards will have to do the trick.

Beach Weekend

It's hard to believe that I was at the beach only a mere 10 days ago. Our trips are always filled with lots of laughter, good food and me getting sunburned. This trip didn't disappoint.

Successful Move

After a very exhausting weekend, I am all in the new apartment. However, my things are still construed all over the dining room. I still have a lot of work to do. It's definitely difficult, time consuming and tiresome. But, I'm over half way there. We have hung a few of my paintings and set out some candles for a more homey feel. Can't wait to share the finished product.

The boy asked me if I learned anything for next time. My answer?

Hire movers.

Girly bathroom

As we can see from past posts, I am completely 100%, head-over-heels in love with anything Anthropologie. When I saw this tiered shower curtain, I just about died. How beautiful and girly!

Unfortunately, it is not for sale any more. But not to worry my dear friends, because I found a tutorial! If you're super crafty and want to take this up, let me know how it turns out. I'm anxious to do one myself!

Accessorizing

(Scarf via Anonymous Agent. Buy scarf here.)

How fun is this necklace?! What a great way to accessorize with a solid color t-shirt and jean shorts.

Conscience-mixed media

I am just loving this mixed media on wood panel by retrowhale. The pieces are so unique and different! I would be proud to display this in my home. And what a great idea to do in 3's!

Was on vacation!

I have been slacking so bad on the blogging front! I very much apologize. I went out of town at the end of last week for a beach vacation/birthday trip. Had a blast! Pictures to follow! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Dreaming of a Wedding

Lately, the boy and I have been talking a lot about marriage. We're really crossing our fingers we can make it work next year. I get giddy just thinking about it and the possibilities. However, the thought of spending all that money kills my excitement. The things that I'm oooing and aaahhing over are just way too expensive for us. I am completely in love with photography by Tec Petaja (his work is absolutely breathtaking) and set styling by Joy Thigpen (I mean, whoa! So beautiful). But Tec's base packages are around 5k and Joy typically works with weddings that are a minimum of 50k. All those numbers just make me sad.

I'm trying to contact an acquaintance of my mother, hoping we can hold the wedding in their backyard. Wouldn't it be so fantastic if I could get things donated? I have this dream of having such a beautiful beautiful wedding, but since I'll be paying for it myself, it will be a little difficult. Any wedding people want to do some pro-bono work?!

Chocolate Croissants

I've been missing France pretty bad lately. The 3 months I was there I had quite a bit of chocolate croissants. So to cure my french-home-sickness, I think I'll bake some chocolate croissants soon.

Ingredients
1 8-count tube refrigerated crescent rolls
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped semisweet chocolate

Directions
1. Heat oven to 375° F.
2. Unroll the dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place about 10 chocolate chips on the bottom third of each triangle and roll the dough up around the chocolate.
3. Transfer the croissants to a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper, if desired, for easier cleanup). Bake until golden brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Bike riding.

Isn't this skirt just beautiful? And while riding a bike! I'm impressed.

Awesome wedding video

Max & Margaux's wedding has been well documented all over the wedding world. And rightfully so. It is beautiful. Just beautiful. You can see parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 over at Once Wed, but I just had to post this video. I love the dancing feet.
