Sweet Tucker
This sweet little pup has weaseled his way into our apartment. via my roommate. His first night with us was last night. I might already be in love. I'm dogsitting him all by myself in a week. The love will probably take full form at that point.

Party Dress
I'm seeing a theme in my last couple of posts...BIRTHDAY!! Keeping in theme...let's talk about party dresses! As I mentioned before, the boy has planned an entire day with birthday activities this weekend. He made a comment a week or so ago about having dinner reservations to fancy shmancy place. I don't really have a lot of dresses, so here's some inspiration (even though I could probably only afford one of these dresses :)
Margarita anyone?
The boy took me out last night for a delectable margarita to celebrate my "birth week". Ha! The festivities have begun!
He has planned out Saturday completely. I'm ecstatic. Then spending Sunday with my momma. Monday night (THE night!) with friends for dinner. Then the following weekend at the beach with my girlies! Whoo-hoo!

Happy Monday!
Unexpectedly, I spent all day on Saturday with my sweet momma. She had a somewhat crappy cell phone that frustrated her every other day, (Needless to say, it was my old phone. Whoops!) so we hopped on over to the AT&T store. She is now updated with the rest of world. Hello iPhone! Once we got back, I spent most of the evening setting up the phone while she cooked dinner, cleaned up after dinner, cleaned my kitchen and vacuumed. Yay for moms! (:

Happy Greetings
My friend, Gus the pirate owl (I intend to put a patch over his eye) posed for some pictures with my new Happy Greeting cards.
(Gus was a christmas gift and is from Anthropologie. Cards available for purchase on etsy.)

Happy New Year!
Is it too late to say Happy New Year? I hope not. Since I haven't told you lovelies yet, I will now. I hope your year is starting off with a bang! and you're having a blast. Today has been a snow day for us here in GA (6-10 inches in places!) and I'm completely iced in. And happy to say, I've been with my love all day.
Since I'm doing some catch up, here's how I spent my white Christmas...

My Gma's Christmas tree. She always tries to be House Beautiful. (:
We always go out to eat on Christmas Eve. We went to Flemings and mom and I shared some Whiting fish. Yumm-o.
Mom and I at dinner.
Being the snob that she is, my gma asked for a Coach purse for Christmas. (It's ok, she knows she's a snob. (: )We all chipped in and got her one. She does this move with her finger when she's excited. It's usually followed by "Beautiful dahhling."
SOOO excited about my TOMS.
Waiting for the train to go downtown for a few days. (:
I always take pictures of the Allerton Hotel everytime I'm in downtown Chi-town. It's kind of tradition. (:
Although we didn't have good pizza at Giordano's, we had a fun time waiting in the bar.

Grandma Rose
I only see my grandmother about 2 times a year. (3 if I'm lucky) I saw her in October at Hilton Head and now again 2 months later. I'm a lucky girl! She might just be my favorite relative. She's hilarious, makes fabulous food, would rather play a card game than watch tv and is slightly snobby (which always cracks my mom and me up).

The Past Few Weeks
I have been so busy the past few weeks! Working like crazy, I've been sick and also getting ready for the holidays. Here's what I've been up to...
Every Thanksgiving, the boy's family goes over to Stone Mountain to walk through the Christmas village, play miniature golf and ride the train.
This was on our 2-year anniversary. I like to make him take pictures. (:
My friends and I went to a Christmas concert. It was fabulous!
The roommate and I decorated our apartment! Her mom gave us a little Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
We also put up a tree on the wall!
The boy made me some snowflakes for my desk at work!

the Funival
Our church puts on a "funival" for Halloween every year. This year, I got help out in several different areas and had a blast! The boy's mom and I set right to work after the church service. We made a TON of lemonade, hot chocolate, apple cider and some toppings for the hotdogs. After helping and get everything set up, I got to walk around for a little to oo and aahh at all the littles. Their costumes were so cute!
I also had the last time slot to face paint with one of my favorite women at church. So much fun! Can't wait 'till next year!
Did you dress up for Halloween?

I miss you.
I don't want to talk about it to you
I'm not an open book that you can rifle through
The cold hard truth that you'll see right to
I'm just basket case without you
He's not a magic man or a perfect fit
But had a steady hand and I got used to it
And a glass cage heart and invited me in
And now I'm just a basket case without him
You're begging for the truth
So I'm saying it to you
I've been saving your place
And what good does it do?
Now I'm just a basket case
Now I'm just a basket case
I don't say much and it'll stay that way
You got a steel train touch and I'm just a track you lay
So I'll stay right here underneath you
I'm just a basket case and that what we do
You're begging for the truth
So I'm saying it to you
I've been saving your place
And what good does it do?
Now I'm just a basket case
Won't somebody come on in and tug at my seams?
Oh, send your armies in of robbers and thieves
To steal the state I'm in I don't want it anymore
You're begging for the truth
So I'm saying it to you
I've been saving your place
And what good does it do?
Now I'm just a basket case
I know you're reading this. So I'll just go ahead and tell you...I miss you. I know we have a lot to work through, and a lot to talk about. But just know...

Girls Weeked Recap
This past weekend my mom and I drove to Hilton Head to celebrate her birthday for the weekend. On the way down, we stopped in Savannah to pick up my Gma and have some lunch.
This was at the airport. She was so excited to see us!
Bikes seemed to be big in Savannah!
My mom wore this button around all weekend! (It's become a tradition) On Sunday afternoon, her and my gma were in line to eat at Lady and Sons. A lady came up to her, threw her arms around my mom and kissed her on the cheek! She was so excited to tell mom happy birthday! (:
On Friday, we ate at this cafe. My gma had the best lunch. Tomato, bacon and melted cheese on baguette. I don't even like tomatoes and I scarfed my share up!
We had a laugh with Marilyn.
This awesome sand castle was inside our hotel lobby!
I'm not a huge fan of being hot and sweaty. So being on the beach when it's 90 degrees out is not fun to me. However, this was my kind of beach weekend. 77 degrees, breezy. It was perfect.
And I end with my favorite picture of the weekend. I captured this at the best moment, both my mom and my gma were laughing and enjoying each other's company!
