Babies are pretty cute

One of my oldest and dearest friends had a baby this past Friday. I drove up to Tennessee to meet sweet miss Millie and fell completely in love. Welcome to the world beautiful baby girl!

PS. Her nursery is pretty rad. Maybe because I painted the walls. And her mom handmade everything.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

In less than 24 hours I'll be hanging out with this handsome little man. And his pregnant-about-to-pop momma. All. Weekend. Long. My heart is gonna be overflowing with love. Have a great holiday weekend! 

Date Night

My man and I had a lovely Friday night date night. He took me to this charming little pasta restaurant where we sat next to one another in a booth, laughed by candlelight and filled our bellies with the most yummiest of food.

Lovely Words for Your Weekend

"Our Union" by Hafiz. A beautifully heartbreaking poem. After wiping away my tears, I thought I'd share it with you all. I read this poem from two point of views, both my favorite of all. The first, this is the depiction of Jesus. All He wants to do is love you and take care of you. The second love of my life is the same way, he wants to love me and take care of me. Thank you, Lord for sending me someone who strives to be like you.


Our union is like this: You feel cold, so I reach for a blanket to cover our shivering feet.
A hunger comes into your body, so I run to my garden and start digging potatoes.
You asked for a few words of comfort and guidance, and I quickly kneel by your side offering you a whole book as a gift.

a beautiful birth story

Joanna, over at A Cup of Jo, was so gracious enough to share the story of her son's birth with the world. Her beautiful writing made me feel as if I was in the room during that magical time. I laughed out loud, teared up, and fell a little in love with her son, Toby.

When I saw this beautiful spanish wedding on Once Wed, I just about squealed. Don't you just love her braid? So simple and girly. And those lights over the tables?! Oh my.

The fact that this wedding was in Spain just makes it that much more romantic.
