Road Trippin' Tunes

(photo via Pinterest)

Happy Friday! I’m going on a small road trip this weekend by myself and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m in the midst of making a Road Trip Playlist and imagining cruising down the highway with the windows down. What are some of your favorite songs for the road?

Here are a few of mine:

1.       Hold On by Alabama Shakes

2.       Fader by The Temper Trap

3.       Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac

4.       Valerie by Amy Whinehouse

5.       Tongue Tied by Grouplove

6.       Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye by Luke Bryan

7.       You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go by Miley Cyrus

8.       Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder

9.       Party by BeyoncĂ© and J Cole

10.   Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ by Michael Jackson

Summer date night

I have to say, Fall is definitely my favorite season. But I do get excited about breezy summer dresses, hats and sequined bags. Isn't this the perfect outfit for a date night walk along the beach? And pull those cute zebras out if you feel a salty chill.

Oh Baseball...

Baseball will always hold a special place in my heart. And tonight, I will be making my heart happy. My office is having an 'outing' and we're all headed to the Braves game tonight. So excited!

Ride Me

Last year, I got a bike for my birthday. (It even has a basket!) Because my birthday is towards the end of the summer, I didn't ride it as much as I had hoped. But! spring is here and I'm itching to take it to the park and go for a spin. Here's some fun bike related things to motivate me even more. (:

Accessorizing

(Scarf via Anonymous Agent. Buy scarf here.)

How fun is this necklace?! What a great way to accessorize with a solid color t-shirt and jean shorts.

Was on vacation!

I have been slacking so bad on the blogging front! I very much apologize. I went out of town at the end of last week for a beach vacation/birthday trip. Had a blast! Pictures to follow! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sigh of trust

I can't believe we're almost finished with July! This year is going by so unbelievably fast. I feel like there's so much I need to be doing, so much more I need to be accomplishing, so much more I want to be doing with my life. :sigh:: God has his timing in perfect placement; I need to be more trusting. Until then, I'll just try and enjoy my summer. (:

Ps. I can't believe I've been out of college for almost 2 years! Oh my goodness!

Flaunt it

5 years ago, I would have turned my nose up at the thought of a one-piece bathing suit. I ordered my second one yesterday. Not sure what has changed, but I think they can be so beautiful, modest and sexy all at the same time.

Pop Bar

Did everyone else know about Pop Bar or am I completely behind? My next trip to New York, they will be getting my business. I wan to try Coffee and Strawberry Lemon Basic. Yummm.

Blow that pinwheel

It has been in the high 90's the past few weeks here in Atlanta. Summer is definitely not my favorite time of year, but the bright colors help me through. I'm loving this yellow pinwheel notecard by Duet Letterpress. Wouldn't you love to find this in your mailbox with a little hello from a friend?

(buy a set of 4 notecards + envelopes here)

Surfing

This morning, very randomly, I'm realizing I want to try surfing. Not sure how long I'll be able to stay on the board, but I'd like to try it some day.

Stop and smell them

Summer Camp

The boy has been gone all week. He's been a rowdy counselor at a camp put on by our church. I've missed him immensely and I'm ecstatic he'll be back tomorrow. :)

I can't wait to hug his neck.

Ps. I have no idea if they have this at the camp, it just reminds me of Heavyweights. :)
