Easter Rainbow

My mom and I had a little Easter project this weekend. We painted our wooden kitchen utensils! I was aching for a little painting project and this one did just the trick.

All you need is painters tape, craft paint and food safe shellac. (tip, we only sprayed the shellac on the painted part of the utensil.)

I hope everyone is having a beautiful Easter with their family celebrating our Risen Lord!

Beautiful typography is mind-boggling

My mind has kind of taken an involuntary break from blogging lately. However, I can't stop staring at all this beautiful typography and just had to share.

Pencil vs. Camera

I am completely inspired by this pencil vs. camera project by Ben Heine. I love how he combines colorful photos with amazingly detailed sketches. Aren't they beautiful?!

Lovely Cities

These city illustrations immediately caught my eye. Wouldn't they look good as a set displayed in an entry way?

Labor Day Weekend

My Labor Day Weekend was filled with giggles, hugs and a little man yelling "JEEFFEERRR". My heart could not have been happier. It was such a blast getting to spend time with one of my bff's and her family. And I probably touched her growing belly a few too many times. I was so intrigued of that little baby girl growing inside of her! We also painted the little squirt's nursery and had fun decorating.
[On the wall it says: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8"]

*Disclaimer: Not the best photos of me. I was exhausted! (: But for good reason. (: *

Unusual Art

When I first saw these photos I thought, "Wow, taking it back to the impressionistic era". Nope. These are embroidered photos. High-five Daniel Kornrumpf!

Painting Inspiration

Man, oh man am I happy I found out about Michelle Armas. Once Wed posted a beautiful image of one of Armas' paintings and my jaw dropped. I am now in love. I feel I'm in a painting rut, unfortunately, and feeling a little lost as to what to do about it. I don't quite think I've found my 'niche' yet. So, until then, I'll keep looking for inspiration while ooing and ahing.

(first image shown from Once Wed. All other images from Armas' blog. I love the process of 3rd image!)

Sponsorship

Ok ok, I'm a terrible blogger. As of late. I'll do my best to try and do better. But, exciting news! Jenny Marie Art is now an official sponsor of at Steoffrey Language! Yay. I'm pumped. So check out my sweet animated gif and then read about Stacie and her adorable little family. Yay!

WHOA. Major chalk love.

Are these not fantastic? I am in awe of these free handed chalk illustrations by Dana Tanamachi. Lettering in general is beautiful, but when it's done with chalk? Oh my heart be still.

Slip-N-Slide

I can't remember the last time I was on a slip-n-slide. But today, I have the urge to be back on one.

However, my one condition, that I'm sliding in rainbow paint.

Cable & Cotton

I'm dying to purchase some of these beautiful string lights. Wouldn't they perfect for an outside dinner party? I think I would want mine in all white. (:

Type on fire

I am a BIG lover of typography. I love the way you can mix different fonts together and voilĂ ! You have a beautiful piece of artwork. (:

How beautiful is this "type on fire"?
