Birthday Party

Maybe when I decide to really grow up and buy a cute little house, I'll throw great backyard parties. They'll be great. I'm determined. Until then, I'll dream and come up with great ideas for how to celebrate birthdays.

Birthday List

Several people in my family have been bugging me for my "birthday list". For the first time in years, there's nothing that I'm really wanting or just dying to have. There are a few books on my list, but I can just hear my grandmother now, "You want a book? No. That's boring, I'm not getting you that." Every year.

So now I am scrounging the internet, looking for fun quirky things that I would love, really just trying to appease people. (Cause I have no ideas!)

I think I would really love a backyard dinner party with all my pals. A beautiful night full of laughter, cake and lights strung in the air. Too bad I don't have a backyard!

PPS. Is there anything on your want list?

Par-tay

"Wow, all you need now is The Killing Fields and some guacamole and you've got yourself a part-ay." Oh, Monica Gellar, how you capture my heart. (Well, all the friends do really.)

On NYE, my roommate and I threw a party. Drinks, the famous cheese dip and lots of laughs & dancing. Had a BLAST!

(btw, before the party started, we were told of a strict no-picture policy after 11pm. The girls sucked it up and took as much as we good as quickly as possible.)

The past 2 years we've been to Intermezzo's before we go back and start the real party. (;
My nutella and strawberry crepe was a piece of heaven.

This is Laura. We've been buddies since the 8th grade. She made oreo truffles for the party.

The boy decided to steal the oreo truffles and hide in the corner for a while.

Festive Nail Polish

Last year, I decided to host a New Year's Eve party in my tiny 600 sq ft apartment. There were only 6 people and we had an absolute blast. Streamers, cake, champagne and polaroids.

A year later, I am in a 1200 sq ft apartment and wanting to make this party an annual thing. I'm pretty bad at planning the actual event, but I can't stop thinking about my outfit. These lovely nail polishes are making me giddy with New Years Eve glee.

Fiery side chignon

Whoa! That was my first reaction. To the fire engine red hair. To the red red lipstick. To the beautiful hairdo. Now I'm antsy for the opportunity to attend a holiday party. Just so I can do my hair like this. Simply gorgeous.

Check out the how-to.

(This has been posted several times throughout the blogosphere, but I just couldn't resist.

Dinner Party

Although I've never been to a dinner party like this one, I dream about holding my own one day. Jordan had the most dreamy dinner party. Under the Golden Gate Bridge.

PS. Here's some tips on how to hold your own dinner party at the Golden Gate Bridge.

Always a dreamer...

I can't stop dreaming about outdoor dinner parties and having my own garden. Dinner parties with friends while serving food I've grown? How fabulous.
